Hope for Haiti blah blah blah

Ok, let me start by saying that I totally understand the need for the Hope for Haiti fundraiser but I must counter by saying "Were the hell is the Hope for The United States fundraiser"? Has everyone forgotten that we are a falling nation in need of serious change? The last time I checked, the Hope for Haiti fundraiser had raised somewhere in the 2 or 3 hundred thousand range. That is outrageous. I comend all of you who did donate, however I think the money could have been better spent bosting our own failing economy. Haiti was a shit hole before the earthquake and its going to be a shit hole for many years to come. The number of homeless people in Haiti probably doesnt even come close to the number of homeless people in our own backyard. For once, the US needs to stay out of everyone else's business and focous on our own. Of course, that will never happen because our "goverment" thinks we need to help everyone else and the problems at home will solve themselves. Well....the problems are just getting worse aren't they? The goverment isnt the answer, its the problem. Blah, blah blah.....

Another day in paradise...

I work in a gas station. Its not a great job, but its a job and it pays most of the bills. It could be a great job for someone, just not me. The reason its not a great job you ask (as if the obvious isnt apparent) is because I have a very low tolerance for ignorance. Not only do I work in a gas station, but I work at a gas station in the country where there is as much ignorance as there are pick up trucks, and thats a lot. Has anyone ever seen the movie Clerks? The movie holds some truth. For instance, at least once an hour someone will pick up an item from the dollar section and ask how much it is, dumb question gets a dumb answer. I reply 20 bucks, to which the "customer" says "the sign says a dollar". IF YOU SAW THE FREAKIN ONE DOLLAR SIGN THEN WHY THE HELL DID YOU ASK ME HOW MUCH IT WAS? This nonsense all day every day can really drain a person. I need a job where I dont deal directly with the ignorant public. Dont hold my breath, I know. I guess I'll just chalk it up to another day in paradise.
